Amauri picks Brazil

Juventus forward Amauri has opted to play for his home nation Brazil and not his adopted homeland Italy .

The Brazilian who is just about to receive Italian nationality has taken a long time to make up his mind but has decided to opt for Brazil and will be hoping for a place in the Brazil team for the upcoming qualifiers for the World Cup in 2010.

The 28 year old finally made his decision saying “I want to play for the team of my country, Brazil. That has been my dream since I was little.”
“it would be a great honour to wear the green and gold of Brazil.”

It is still uncertain though whether he is in Dungas plans and the mangers recent comments won’t have reassured Amauri that much. “If he is waiting to get in touch with me, he can wait a long time.”
