Australia take on Ghana in friendly

The Football Federation of Australia have announced that the Socceroos will warm up for their 2010 World Cup Qualifying matches with Iraq by competing against Ghana.
Australia currently top their World Cup qualifying section and will face Ghana, the highest ranked African team, on 23rd May.
Ghana, listed 15th on the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking, begin their qualifying for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa at home against Libya on 30 May.
Australia, meanwhile, will complete their 2010 Qualifying campaign in the summer as they face four games, the first two a double header with 2007 Asian Cup Winners Iraq, with the home leg on 1 June.
Per Vimbeek’s men then travel to Dubai for the return fixture on June 7th, before taking on Qatar in Doha a week later and completing the qualiying section at home to China in Sydney on June 22.
Australia have made an unbeaten start to their qualifying campaign for the 2010 Finals in South Africa, amassing 4 points from two games after a 3-0 win over Qatar in Melbourne and a backs to the wall 0-0 draw with China last week.
The top two teams in each group will progress to the fourth and final phase of Asian qualifying for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
