Croatia Still Confident for South Africa 2010

July 7, 2009

Despite the thought that Croatia may not qualify for this coming World Cup, as they are 2nd in their group, coach Slaven Bilić is optimistic. He believes that they have a good chance of making it to South Africa next summer. On August 12th, World Cup qualifying will resume as Croatia travel to Minsk to take on the Belarusians.

In a press conference, Bilić stated, “Belarus are a very good team, and we need to win that game. The date of the game should not be a problem for our players because they will be highly motivated.” He said that they will announce their lineup on the 30th of July. Also, he mentioned that he had spoken with Eduardo Da Silva and he could be ready to make his comeback by August; which would be excellent news for Croatia’s qualifying campaign.
