Argentina 2-0 Serbia
Argentina tops the group with another win. Cote d’Ivoire also did enough to qualify with a win over Australia.
Group B
Netherlands 1-0 Japan
Nigeria 2-1 United States
Gerald Sibon’s second-half penalty gave the Netherlands a spot in the final 8. Nigeria eliminated the US in a 2-1 win, and top the group.
Group C
China 0-3 Brasil
New Zealand 0-1 Belgium
Brasil continued their unbeaten run with goals from Werder Bremen’s Diego (18′) and Fluminese winger Thiago Neves (69′, 73′) to top Group C. Belgium sealed their qualification for the quarter-finals with a win over New Zealand.
Group D
Cameroon 0-0 Italy
South Korea 1-0 Honduras
Cameroon settled for second place in Group D with a 0-0 draw with Group winners Italy. South Korea’s win over Honduras was not enough to qualify due to Italy’s draw.

Women’s
Group E
China 2-0 Argentina
Sweden 2-1 Canada
While the Chinese men disappoint, the Chinese women are having an impressive tournament thus far. Locals joke that Han Duan, who has scored twice in this August’s games, should sneak onto the men’s side and help them out! China tops Group E, while Sweden and Canada also did enough to progress to the quarter-finals.

Brazil 3-1 Nigeria
Korea DPR 0-1 Germany
Brazil tops the group over Germany with superior goal difference.
Group G
USA 4-0 New Zealand
Norway 1-5 Japan
The USA tops the group over Norway. Japan sealed 3rd place qualification through a 5-1 win over Norway.
