Robinho to return to Man City team

April 15, 2009

Brazilian striker Robinho was controversially left out of the Man City team at the weekend as his tesam slumped to another home defeat at the hands of Fulham but he is set to return for tomorrow nights UEFA cup clash with Hamburg.

Man City are trailing 3-1 from the away leg so have a lot of work to do at home. The only  bonus is that they do have an away goal that could prove crucial if they can keep a clean sheet.

Man City are also hoping to have Shaun Wright-Phillips, Vincent Kompany and Wayne Bridge back from injury but they will be without the cup-tied Nigel de Jong.

Hamburg will be without defenders Collin Benjamin and Guy Demel because of thigh injuries but skipper David Jarolim is available after missing the 1-0 defeat by Stuttgart at the weekend through suspension.

“We laid down a good foundation in the first leg. Now we need to concentrate and advance to the semi-finals,” said Jarolim.
